Caroline Campbell

In addition to serving as the guest artist for Lyceum Music Festival, Caroline will be working daily with the violin 1 section in sectionals on all repertory assigned. She will also work in a more limited capacity with the second violins. She is an sought-after recording musician and section player with a wealth of experience both in front of the orchestra and in section.

Virtuoso violinist Caroline Campbell has appeared as soloist with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Utah Symphony, Cleveland Orchestra and many other professional symphony orchestras. She recently toured the United States performing as a soloist with Andrea Bocell and has been a featured performer with Sting, 2CELLOS, Barbra Streisand, Michael Buble, Seal, Steven Tyler and more. She is featured on multiple PBS Specials including with William Joseph, Chris Botti, Andrea Bocelli, and David Foster.

Caroline has performed and recorded with artists including the Black Eyed Peas, Carrie Underwood, Paul McCartney, Barbra Streisand, Beyonce, Justin Timberlake, Herbie Hancock, TI, Diana Krall, Alicia Keys, Sarah Mclachlan, Rod Stewart, Colbie Caillot, Rihanna, Neil Diamond, Bette Midler, Lionel Richie, Natalie Cole, John Mayer, Michael Buble, Jaime Foxx, Michael Bolton, Avril Lavigne, Kelly Clarkson, Carlos Santana, Jackie Evancho, Brad Paisley, Queen Latifah, Josh Groban, Daughtry, John Legend, and Gnarls Barkley, among many others.

Her TV appearances include The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, the Grammy Awards, American Idol, Dr. Phil, SNL, The Ellen Degeneres Show, MTV Movie Awards, People’s Choice Awards, American Music Awards, Late Show with David Letterman, Late Night with Conan O’ Brian, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, The Young and the Restless, and The Tyra Banks Show, among others.

She has recorded for major blockbusters such as “Hunger Games” and “Frozen,” and “Wanderlust.” Her arrangements including the music of Pirates of the Caribbean, Skyfall, and Wonder Woman have positioned Caroline at the forefront of the virtuoso classical crossover genre. She recently debuted Yamaha’s newest electric violin, the YEV, and was featured in a Yamaha music video campaign.

Caroline was a Presidential Scholar in high school, and performed for former president Bill Clinton at the Kennedy Center in Washington DC.  She graduated Phi Beta Kappa with Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts degrees from Stanford University where she studied computer science, logic, linguistics, and psychology.

Caroline plays on a 1771 Joseph Gagliano violin. She has two children (Quest, age 12 and Violet, age 10) and currently splits her time between Santa Monica, CA and Bermuda. See more at Caroline-campbell.com
